Head Of Sales

Siren is an internationally renowned brewery which has shown significant growth even through 2020. We are now looking for someone to lead, inspire and develop our sales team.

You will be working with the leadership team to build and execute strategies to hit targets across all channels, including the on-trade, key accounts, retail, export and distribution.

The brewery is known for an interesting and high quality portfolio of flagship beers, but perhaps even moreso for the playful and innovative collaborations and small batch releases which are never afraid to challenge preconceptions.

Siren currently delivers & manages customers directly across London, Bristol, Birmingham, locally and the south coast, along with some additional bolt-on routes. Channels include distribution, throughout the UK, some supermarket activity and export to more than 15 countries worldwide.

Leading from the front, you will be taking responsibility for supporting our sales team with training, development, customer prospecting, site visits, exemplary account management and hitting ambitious goals.

You will also be involved in developing top-level strategies, working with marketing and production to build on Siren's reach and reputation. However, this is a hands-on company and you'll need to demonstrate a desire to roll up your sleeves and muck in with your team, helping them to open new accounts and convert sporadic orders to loyal customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for development and delivery of strategies and plans across both new account acquisition and development
  • Retail development
  • Customer retention & ‘wow’ factor
  • Brand & product positioning and delivery
  • Development of the team, including:
  • Build a training program that supports education of the sales process along with product and industry expertise
  • A coaching program designed to bring the team with you
  • Future hiring and incentive management
  • Collaboration with marketing to support the sales effort, including:
  • Events – both customer and brewery-led
  • Permanent line/product focussed plans
  • Joint ventures and high-reward projects
  • Forecasting and reporting against SMART goals

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Proven team management and leadership skills from within sales
  • Track record in a similar environment with both direct and channel sales experience
  • A passion for flavour-forward, independently brewed beer
  • Great presentation and communication skills
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Confident, persuasive, can do attitude
  • Positive attitude to continuous learning and application of best practises
  • Ability to focus and follow through on priorities and deliver quality results
