Wilde Child Brewing was established in a Leeds Garage in 2016 with the aim of producing beers that provoke you to thinking about what you’re drinking and take you on a journey based around extreme flavour. Fast forward nearly 6 years and we’re now dealing with 2 Supermarkets and some of the best pubs and bars throughout the Country.

2022 promises to be the biggest year yet for Wilde Child as we continue to strengthen our relationship with one of the ‘big four’ Supermarkets that we currently deal with. We will also continue to fulfil existing customers & bring on new customers around the Country which we’ve been very successful in continuing to do, post pandemic.

We’re currently recruiting for a Head Brewer. The role requires the candidate to be a hard working team player and a passionate commercial brewer, with an eye for attention to detail and a desire to produce the best quality products.

Head Brewer Job Specification

• Production of wort.
• Cellar tasks including dry-hopping, tank cleans etc.
• Ensure raw materials are ordered on time and brew plans are adhered to.
• Overseeing packaging runs.
• Development of new recipes.
• Maintain a high standard of data logging and record keeping.
• Ensuring other members of the team are kept up to speed with production requirements and delegating jobs out to them to achieve goals.
• Ensure the cleanliness, efficiency and functionality of brewery equipment.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety.
• Ensure to work in way which minimises wastage and excess cost without compromising product quality.
• Helping to implement procedures.
• Weekend checks.

Skills / Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience at Brewer level (or above) in a commercial Brewery.
• Ideally a proven track record of managing people.
• Passionate about beer.
• Ability to safely lift relatively heavy loads.
• Driver’s License.
• Punctual and reliable with a good work ethic.
• Great communication skills, and great ability to complete tasks
• Ability to work on your own as well as part of a team within a small business.

Salary: £26,000 - £28,000 per annum (dependent upon experience), paid monthly

Working Hours: Working hours between 7.30am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)
