We are looking for an ambitious and driven individual, with a passion for quality craft beer to help manage our micro-brewery, and develop the growth of the business by leading all aspects of the production process. In this hugely exciting and important role you will be given the creative license to experiment, and will be responsible for the creation of a brand new range of unique craft beers.

You will be involved in all brewing matters from production through to quality control & packaging, and as part of your daily tasks you will be responsible for educating and inspiring team members & consumers of our beer. It is essential that you have the required knowledge and experience of running a brewery and are adept in trouble-shooting as well as craft beer technical recipe design and development.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Overseeing all aspects of brewing, from fermentation to maturation and filtration, documenting relevant data and ensuring this information is shared and communicated to the necessary stakeholders.
• New product design and development and being an ambassador for the brewery.
• Liaising with management to ensure effective control over the quality and consistency of our beers.
• Working directly with brewing team to improve on our existing processes and ensure full quality control and consistency of our craft beers.
• Train & support the development of employees, from Brewing Assistant to Point of Sale.
• The Head Brewer will be responsible for ensuring housekeeping and maintenance of the brewery and it's equipment is carried out to the required standard.

EXPERIENCE:

• Desirable but not essential: University degree in Brewing & Distilling or another relevant field.
• Minimum one years’ experience in a supervisory position in a brewery.
• A track record of good team management, communication and staff training.
• Experience working in a SALSA Approved brewery.
• Proven record of producing quality, award winning craft beers.
